The composition "Cremona Virus" was composed in 2021 with the aim of bringing hope during the pandemic while also shedding light on the history of violin making, from the times of great masters such as Amati, Stradivari, and Guarneri to the present day. Clara Jaz employed there a technique she called "sul pizzicato," which involves playing pizzicato with the left hand while simultaneously using the bow in a sul ponticello manner. This is likely the first usage of such a technique in violin literature. This virtuoso piece combines contemporary playing techniques and harmony with traditional ones.
